Cyprus visa in Russia: how to apply through BLS

You can submit Cyprus visa documents through BLS visa centres in Russia. The centres accept applications, and the BLS website is fully operational. Before booking, check your passport and insurance policy, as the consulate has separate requirements for both.

Which BLS centre to apply at

BLS centres operate in different cities across Russia. You can apply outside your home city.

At the same time, BLS strongly recommends applying at the centre within your consular jurisdiction. If you can, apply locally.

When to apply

Applications are accepted no earlier than six months before the trip. As a rule, documents are submitted no later than 15 calendar days before it starts.

If your travel dates are already fixed, book your appointment in advance and do not leave it for the last two weeks.

Passport requirements

Your passport must meet the rules on validity, blank pages, and issue date.

• It must remain valid for at least three months after your planned departure from Cyprus. If you have multiple trips, count from the last departure.
• It must have at least two blank pages.
• It must have been issued within the last ten years.

Biometric data is generally collected once every 59 months from the date of the first collection.

Medical insurance requirements

The policy must be valid in Cyprus for the full duration of the trip or transit. Minimum coverage is 30,000 euros.

The policy must cover emergency assistance, emergency hospital treatment, medical repatriation, and death. When you apply, you confirm that you have this policy and that it is valid.

Check the insurer before you buy a policy

The consulate does not accept policies from companies on the EU sanctions list. Before buying, check the insurer using the link on the BLS page.

Fees to pay when applying

The visa fee is paid in roubles at the current month's exchange rate set by the Treasury of the Republic of Cyprus. If the visa is refused, the fee is not refunded.

The visa centre charges a separate service fee, even if you book on your own. Additional BLS services are optional and paid on top.
